Fox Valley Park District hires individuals for full-time, year-round part-time and seasonal positions. If you or someone you know would like to be considered for a position, complete our online application, indicate the position(s) you are interested in and submit your application.

The Fox Valley Park District has 88 full-time employees and nearly 500 part-time and seasonal employees at various times throughout the year to operate its programs and facilities. We are always looking for talented and energetic individuals to be a part of our team. From youths seeking their first job to highly skilled adult program leaders, there are many positions available.

Year-Round Part-time Positions: Guest Service Attendants, Child Care Attendants, Birthday Party Attendants, Personal Trainers, Group Fitness Instructors, Facility Attendants, Nature Center Support Staff and Indoor Aquatics Maintenance staff.
Seasonal Positions: Preschool Teachers and Assistants, Camp Site Supervisors and Counselors, After-School Recreation staff, Grounds Maintenance workers, Facility Maintenance workers, Aquatics Maintenance workers, Dance, Gymnastics and Tennis Instructors, Volleyball Officials, Basketball Scorekeepers, Program Instructors, Special Event Staff, Ride Operators, Animal Caretakers and Historical Interpreters.

How to apply:
We have implemented a new Applicant Tracking System in our HR/Payroll System. When you click on "job application" at the top of this page, you will be directed to our Employment Opportunities site supported by Munis. Carefully read the directions on how to apply and review the current job openings. Once you find the position you are interested in applying for, click the “Apply” button and you will be taken to the new online application.
We encourage you to take your time and complete the application as thoroughly as possible. The more information you provide, the better your chances for being selected for a position. The new system allows us to search by certain criteria to assist us in finding the best possible candidates.
PLEASE NOTE: The system will time out after 40 minutes, so we suggest you have all of your information handy when you begin the process. It should not take you that long to complete the application, but times will vary depending on how much information you have to enter. The system does not allow you to save your work part-way through, so make sure you are ready with all of your materials when you begin. Any fields that are required in order to submit your application will be marked with an asterisk.
You will only need to complete the application once. The first time you submit an application, the system will generate a PIN number. Please make a note of it and keep it in a safe place. To update your application or to apply for additional positions, simply log in to the system, enter your name and PIN and proceed to the Applicant Profile screen.
If you applied previously and used your SSN, click the Log in, enter your first and last name and click forgot password/PIN. As long as you provided an e-mail address on the initial application you will be sent a PIN for future access.
You will be contacted for an interview if you are being considered for a position. If you do not hear from us, you most likely are not being considered at the present time. Due to the volume we receive, we do not generally respond to unsolicited applications.

Criminal Background Checks
If you are offered employment with the Fox Valley Park District, the Park District will conduct a criminal background check as required by Illinois State Law. You will be required to sign a Conviction Information Request Release Form at the time an offer is made and you will be scheduled for fingerprinting at the Fox Valley Park District Police and Public Safety Offices. The Park District is required by law to obtain criminal conviction information from the Illinois State Police on all prospective employees once an offer is extended. When applying for a position, you will be required to check an acknowledgment box indicating you have read the criminal background information on the new online application.
Physical examinations by a medical doctor shall be required for candidates offered full-time positions and designated safety sensitive part-time positions. The Fox Valley Park District follows ADA guidelines and will make reasonable accommodations, where possible, to hire qualified applicants.
All full-time employees and certain safety-sensitive part-time positions will be required to undergo a pre-placement drug screening. It is the policy of the Fox Valley Park District to provide a safe, productive, and drug-free work environment.
