Parker’s Foundation Grant Program

Through this program, residents may apply for grant funds to help cover the fees of our core programs, such as Preschool and Summer Camps. Separate from our program scholarships, which award qualified participants up to $160 individually each year, Parker’s Foundation Grant Program helps bridge the gap to provide access for summer childcare or early childhood education. No matter your situation, we encourage you to apply for exactly what you are in need of.

Eligibility

Residency of the Fox Valley Park District is required to receive these funds. Weekly camps are not eligible, only camp sessions. Participants must be age eligible before September 1, 2024.

To apply

Present the completed application to the Guest Services desk at any of our facilities with proof of residency and income or see the “Apply Online” tab below to submit the application online. Applications will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at all of our community centers and at the Cole Administrative Center from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Application deadline is March 31, 2024.

    Are the funds limited?
    Funds for this program are provided through grants and donations. These funds are limited, which is why there is an application period so all applications are reviewed at once.

    Is there a set amount or cap each family can receive from this grant?
    Unlike our other scholarship, this program does not have a cap or set dollar amount. We do ask on the application how much a parent can put towards the program, why they are in need of aid, and basic income and family information. This all goes into the decision-making process of allocating funds to families. Each family will have different circumstances and therefore, we have not set limits to this program.

    How will funding be determined?
    We will take income and family size into account. We also will take special circumstances into consideration when allocating awards.

    Will the funding for preschool only be for this calendar year?
    The funding will be carried over throughout the length of the program which will span until the end of the school year.

    How will I know if I receive program funds?
    All awards will be emailed out to the email address provided by April 30. A Guest Services Representative will contact parents or guardians to complete the registration process for the program.

    If my child is unable to participate in the program, can I use the funds for other programs within the district?
    No, if you remove your child from the program, the funds are returned to the district. These funds are non-transferrable.
