Jerad Campbell
Director of Operations
I live in Aurora with my wife and our three energetic sons (ages 7 and 3-year-old twins). As a family, we value spending time outdoors, and we’re frequent visitors to the many parks, trails, facilities, and programs managed by the Fox Valley Park District. These spaces have provided us with opportunities to connect with nature, stay active, and build lasting memories together. Professionally, both my wife and I are public servants. We are both committed to giving back to our community in meaningful ways, and are grateful for the personal and professional growth that the FVPD and our community have offered over the many years.
Nicole Perry
Human Resources Assistant
I was born and raised in Aurora and grew up participating in recreational activities through the Fox Valley Park District. I attended Eastern Illinois University and earned a bachelor’s degree in communications. I started taking dance classes at the Eola Community Center at age 4 and continued through middle school. I’ve had the opportunity to get my son involved in recreational activities through the park district such as sports and swimming lessons. It’s great to see he shares the same excitement and joy as I did when I was participating in these programs.
Frank Johnson
Sponsorship & Development Manager
I began work in parks and recreation as part of a “career change”. I previously worked in Higher Education in roles in admissions and academic affairs with two local colleges. When the opportunity for the Business Development position was available I applied. Many of my agency and professional contacts translated well from Higher Education to Parks and Recreation. I also had the advantage of being a product of Fox Valley Park District programs and facilities as a youth and a parent residing in Aurora.
Kristin Hahn
Operations Administrative Assistant
After taking a career break to raise my family, I was connected with FVPD while networking and searching for the right fit to restart my career. With an associate’s degree in business management, I’d worked six years in accounts receivable/payable prior to having a family. My favorite thing about working here is the people at the District, and it’s been fun getting to know everyone and hearing a little bit about their own journey within the park district community.
Jessica Ramos
Aquatics Operations Manager
My career in parks & recreation began when I started as a 15-year-old lifeguard at my local park district. Originally, I wanted to study marine biology in college but continued to gravitate towards lifeguarding. I learned about Ball State’s Aquatic Major (#1 in the nation) and I was sold. To complete my bachelor’s degree, I interned at a country club and then found an Aquatics Supervisor position at a fitness center, but overall knew I wanted to return to my roots and found Fox Valley Park District!
Aaron Reinhart
Superintendent of Turf Maintenance
I have been in the sports business for 25 years with a degree in agronomy/soil science. I’ve been participating in sports since before I could walk so it only made sense to combine two of my passions and make it a career path. This transition has been a blessing for me as I still get to be heavily involved in sports while providing high-quality playing surfaces so every kid can feel like he or she is in the big leagues. My passion has always been sports, so being blessed to truly do what I love is evident in the finished product we provide to all athletes that come our way.
Christy Graser
Environmental Education Supervisor
I’ve spent most of my life with some attachment to nature and the outdoors, but I knew I wanted to teach. I started earning my degree in early education and by random chance found my way into the Geography and Earth science field and found my place. To graduate, I was required to complete an internship and found that I could teach about environmental education as an actual job and get paid for it! I started in Colorado and fell in love with the work. Over the last 20 years, I worked at a community-based non-profit, a privately funded conservation foundation, and then a metro-park before making my way back to Illinois. Over my career, I have earned my Certified Interpretive Guide (CIG), National Geography Certified Educator, and Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certificates to strengthen my background in creating and writing curricula.
