Gymnastics, tumbling, ninja and cheer classes at Fox Valley Gymnastics are offered at our three community centers. Our focus is on body awareness, coordination, confidence, and skill progression in a fun, safe motivating environment that enhances physical and mental well-being. We offer a variety of classes for all ages. Programs are based on skills defined by USA Gymnastics and USAF Cheer. Required skills must be mastered at each level before advancing to the next. In addition, special events, camps, and competitive teams are offered.

    We are the home of several competitive teams including:

    Fox Valley Gymnastics

    Our Level 2-8 and Xcel teams compete in the Amateur Athletic Union league and use USA Gymnastics regulations and guidelines. The gymnastics season is year-round and begins in June.

    Fox Valley Tumbling

    Our tumbling teams compete in the Illinois Park District Gymnastics Conference which includes park districts from the immediate area. The competitive tumbling season is from September through February. Tumblers can continue to develop skills with our off-season practice offerings.

    Fox Valley Storm Cheer

    Our cheer teams compete with the Illinois Cheer Association. The fall season is from July through December. Spring season is February through April. Cheer teams are formed once a school year with new teams being formed after a workshop each July.

    Eola Class Descriptions

    Early Childhood Gymnastics

    Fox Valley Gymnastics early childhood classes are a great way to develop and focus your child’s natural energy. In our fun and engaging classes, we will help your child develop the strength, flexibility, and coordination necessary not only for gymnastics but for all sports. For the safety of all concerned, anyone who is not participating in a class will be asked to remain in the lobby until class is completed. In lieu of view week, a gymnastics showcase will be held in December & June. The gymnastics staff reserves the right to move a student to an appropriate level if needed. Appropriate attire is mandatory, please refer to your confirmation receipt for details. In an effort to provide quality instruction while maintaining appropriate ratios we do not offer make-ups for missed classes.

    BabyNastics (crawling – 18 months)
    Focusing on exploration and movement, this parent / care-giver participation class is for mobile babies who are crawling to 18 months old. Our baby classes build strength, spatial understanding, and social skills, giving your child a leg-up in those important formative years. You are invited to participate in your baby’s introduction to gymnastics and celebrate every exciting discovery along the way.

    TotNastics (walking – 36 months)
    This class focuses on basic gymnastics and motor skills, as well as socialization and listening skills. Much like the baby class, the parent tot program focuses on developing strength, spatial awareness, and social skills. You are invited to participate as your child develops trust and independence in a fun and safe environment, learning the basic skills and vocabulary of gymnastics. This is a parent / care-giver participation class for children who are confidently walking to 36 months old.

    Class Format
    Both Baby classes are 30 minutes and Tot classes are 40 minutes:

        • General Exploration: Set-up changes weekly – 5 minutes
        • Circle Time: 5 minutes
        • Gymnastics Skills: With the teacher or on the equipment – 15 minutes
        • Gross Motor Skills/Activity: 5-10 minutes

    Preschool Gymnastics (3-4 year olds)
    Child should be able to stay independently with the teacher for the class time. This class focuses on building physical coordination, as well as introducing basic gymnastics skills using traditional gymnastics equipment, obstacle courses and stations. Participants must be potty trained.

    KinderNastics (4-5 year olds)
    KinderNastics focuses on mastering basic skills on the equipment and begins to focus on technique as well as combinations of skills. Children under the age of 4 years old must be evaluated or recommended by an instructor.

    Creative Play Gymnastics (4-6 year olds)
    Creative Play Preschool students can extend their day with our enrichment program! Our staff will pick up your child from their preschool classroom and bring them to gymnastics. Classes focus on balance, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness and self-esteem.

    Class Format

        • Warm Up/Stretch: 10 minutes
        • Three Gymnastics Event Rotations: 10 minutes each
        • Closing Activity: 5-10 minutes

    Youth Gymnastics

    Our Youth Gymnastics classes are designed to teach flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness using gymnastics skills while building positive self-esteem in a fun, yet challenging environment. Gymnastics skills are developed through progression and proper technique. Required skills must be mastered to register for a specific level. The gymnastics staff reserves the right to move a student to an appropriate level if needed.     Junior Beginner (5-6 year olds)
    This class focuses on skills and body positions that are taught at the beginner level of our Recreation Program. Progression of skills as well as combinations of skills are explored. Children under the age of 5 years must be evaluated or recommended by an instructor.

    Beginner (7-10 year olds)
    Gymnasts learn fundamentals while concentrating on coordination, strength, flexibility, balance and self-confidence as they are introduced to skills on gymnastics equipment.

    Continuing Beginner (7-10 year olds)
    This class is for gymnasts who have mastered beginner level skills. Emphasis is on building skills while focusing on form and technique. Required skills: cartwheel ¼ turn, handstand against wedge, bridge from back.

    Intermediate (8-12 year olds)
    Emphasis is on perfecting skills, sequencing while introducing new skills while increasing flexibility and strength. Required skills: cartwheel step in, backward roll to push up, bridge kickover.

    Advanced (8-12 year olds)
    Development on advanced skills and combinations to create a sequence is the focus of this class. Required skills: handstand bridge kickover, handstand forward roll, back walkover.

    Middle School Gymnastics (10-14 year olds)
    Whether you are a beginner for experienced gymnast, this class is for middle schoolers to have the gym to themselves. Students are grouped by ability and assigned an instructor to work on skills with.

    Class Format
    Youth Gymnastics classes are 60-70 minutes long:

        • Warm Up/Stretch: 10 minutes
        • Two Gymnastics Event Rotations: 15 minutes each
        • Tumbling: 15-20 minutes
        • Closing Activity:  10-15 minutes 

    Session Evaluations
    Each session, evaluations are completed by the instructor of your child’s class. Along with mastery of skills, factors that affect mobility can include behavior, ability to receive instruction and make changes and potential. Repetition of a class does not mean the gymnast isn’t learning anything new. Gymnasts are perfecting skills, improving technique and basics. Gymnastics is a slow sport to learn properly; therefore, repeating a level is very common.

    Prisco and Vaughan Class Descriptions

    Youth Open Gym

    Youth Open Gym is for children ages 8-14 years. This unstructured open gym is a perfect time for them explore and get some energy out in our gymnastics facility!

    Staff will be on hand to ensure the safety and proper usage of equipment. Stop at the front desk to pay the $5 fee per child and present your receipt prior to entering the gym.

    Sundays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

    Family Open Gym

    Family Open Gym is for children ages 9 and under. An adult MUST accompany child(ren) at all times. This unstructured open gym is a perfect time for families to explore and get some energy out in our gymnastics facility!

    Parent or caregiver must accompany child(ren) at all times but are NOT allowed on any of the equipment.  Staff will be on hand to ensure the safety and proper usage of equipment. Stop at the front desk to pay the $5 fee per child and present your receipt prior to entering the gym. Children who will be held or in a carrier do not need to pay.

    Private Lessons

    Private & Semi Private 30 Minute Gymnastics Lessons

    One-on-One Private 30-Minute Lesson: $20
    One-on-One Semi-Private 30-Minute Lesson: $15 per registrant (2 participants)

    We recommend that private lessons be used as a supplement to participation in our regular classes. Private lessons are a great service if the student is struggling with a particular skill, or needs a little extra fine tuning.

    • Once a date/time has been agreed upon a registration code will be created. You will be notified via email with registration instructions.
    • Registration must be received 48 hours prior to the lesson taking place.
    • Private and Semi Private lessons are available. If you are interested in semi-private you must provide both participants.
    • Private lessons are NOT available during peak hours.  Prohibited times are Monday-Friday 4 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to Noon
    • Due to instructor’s schedules we cannot accommodate make up lesson requests.

    Birthday Parties

    Gymnastics parties include 45 minutes of age-appropriate, organized activities and 45 minutes of room rental for food and gifts and party room set-up. Parties are for up to 25 guests.

    Residents: $175 (up to 15 children) / $10 each additional child
    Non-residents: $195 (up to 15 children) / $13 each additional child
    $100 non-refundable deposit

    Gymnastics Party

    Saturdays: 1 to 2:30 p.m. OR 3:15 to 4:45 p.m.
    Sundays: 12:30 to 2 p.m., 3 to 4:30 p.m.

    Gymnastics Party combines a safe, clean, bright facility and highly trained instructors – a great way to have the fun and flexibility of a structured birthday celebration!

    Ninja Warrior Party

    Saturdays: 1 to 2:30 p.m. OR 3:15 to 4:45 p.m.
    Sundays: 12:30 to 2 p.m., 3 to 4:30 p.m.

    This party combines unique obstacle courses and challenges with the fun and flexibility of a structured birthday celebration!
