The FVPD Theatre Deparment offers a diverse curriculum of professional, educational and fun classes for all ages, including adults. Theatre Department Mission

The Fox Valley Park District’s Theatre Department promotes creativity, imagination, and community engagement by offering exceptional, accessible, and inclusive performance and fine art opportunities to our diverse community. We also produce high-quality and affordable live theatre entertainment for the Aurora area and surrounding communities.

From Your Theatre Supervisor

Each production is a journey we embark on together. When a performance begins, we are transported into a world brilliantly constructed by the dedicated staff, participants, and volunteers. Alongside your park district, we have collectively built the stage on which dreams can be performed. I am grateful to have been part of so many memorable moments.     Performances are held at Prisco Community Center (150 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora) unless otherwise noted. All tickets are available for purchase at Prisco Community Center, or online.

    Performances: February 20, 21, & 22, 2025

    Audition Information

    Auditions: Come anytime between the audition times listed. All auditions and rehearsals take place at Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave., in Aurora. Please prepare 16 measures of a Broadway show tune for your audition. Readings will be provided by the Artistic Team. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Auditions require pre-registration, during which you will answer a few short questions (that is your “Audition Form”).     Specialty Classes

    The Performing Arts Department is excited to announce, the creation of ‘The Premiere Musical Theatre Company.’ This company will be dive deep, exploring the themes of musical theatre, and sharpening your skills of Singing & Dance. This intense course will prepare you for future auditions, performances, and so much more. Performances will be announced at a later date.
